I came accross this while browsing through the youtube. Stumble onto this at tyra banks show and suddenly realised one thing- what is good hair? Those straight and silky one are good hair? And those curly, weaves and dry hair are spoilt hair? Think about it.

What Does "Good Hair" Really Mean, Anyway?

Did some research and after watching the show, it was known that:

Always the words "good hair" evoke stories, stories containing memories of childhood, memories of being teased, memories of people from a dominant culture touching your hair, asking questions. Stories of sitting in the kitchen near a hot stove on a Saturday night, while your mother pressed your hair for church the next morning, you flinching as she pulled the comb through.

Stories of the time you cut off all your hair and a boy in the back of the school bus said you looked like a boy. And you turned around and punched him. You remember your hair freshly shampooed and flowing in the summer breeze because that was the way you dried it then, before blow dryers, before relaxers.

 It is also known that black women spent alot of their money on their hair. More then Asian and white women. it's really a very sensitive issue to talk bout. But you can get more details with the videos. Some even go to the extends of relaxing your hair every morning because rebonding doesn't help. It's really painful and harmful to your hair with allthe chemicals in your hair. Interviews with lil kids are also known that some as early as the age 3 are relaxing their hair already. I really do feel bad for the kids. Really. How i wish everyone in this world would have the perfect kinda hair, with the perfect kinda texture and everything. It makes the world a much more better place to live in.

I'm a little sleepy. Think i'm gonna fall asleep back soon so ya. All the pictures are in this abulm. Las two days of the dance trip. It was really fun. Had moments which i wanted cry. Tears of joy and not sorrow. Gonna miss everybody there- including the teachers and our lovely tour guide:)

A thank you to all the syf dancers, teachers, tours guide and Mr lau for the hardwork and support. W/o this, this trip wuld not have been a success. Really. I do wanna go back to YunNan right now. But it's impossible- so the wonderful memories wil forever be etched in my mind. THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN.

6th & 7thday we did nothing much. Wake up late for the plane flight back to kunming. We climbed 108 steps that day. It's was a wow  experience. Went shopping at a Y Sports shopping centre.We were the first to get in and we  tackle all the shops due to th lack of timing. Anw, the shopping centre sell all the sports brand- nike, addidas etc. At night we watched dymanic yunan! It was breath-taking.

Flower maket was what we went last. The toliet i heard was super horrible. The flowers are really beautiful. had dinner and snapped snapped! b4 heading to the airport to head back to singapore. {:

So, we wrapped ourselves with loots of clothes for day 5's trip! Today was the highlight of the YunNan's trip! Hope i will make this post an interesting one. We woke up early that morning and had breakfast at the restraunt there. We set off at 6:30am and we stopped halfway to take pictures. It was reallllllllly cold!!!!!!!! The wind was blowing and blowing! I really do look like a BIG FAT WOMEN! GOD.

Reached the cable car station. But sadly, the wind was toooo stong for the cable car to be operate. So in the end, we went to another place to view the scenery. :( Took pictures with yak and had fun games. We even form groups and try to entertain the people there. Emalia put her het in front of us- to let the poeple donate their money for us. :P It was really hilarious and yknow how crazy we'll get.

After snapping of pictures, yaks and the clear water, we make our way to watch a performance- LiJiang Impression! It was one of the most fansinating performance i've ever seen. And you know what? Those performers there are not professionals. They are the tribes and minorities' famners. Our teacher told us, directors came to their village and pick out the farmers. They had to run about performaning here and there, running with horses, playing the drums and screaming! Also, you get to enjoy their performance with the fantastic view of the snow mountain! :>

GOODNEWS! After the show, our tour guide told us that we can take the cable car already! We took the cable cars up and up and up! I mean like in singapore you get to take it to sentosa right. But there, we get to go way up high to the mountains. Sliding down our made slope. hehe. I looked fat. As we were way up the mainland, i suddenly got dizzy and unwell. But i wanted to play so tahan for very long till i got down. It was really horrible! But the place there itself was WOW. If only i was feeling well instead of not.

We had our lunch at LiJiang's M. The chicken was great. You can compare it with KFC ;} When back to gu cheng for shopping again. Had dinner and then finally had  a proper briefting b4 heading to bed. :} HAPPPY FAMILY<3 Will post more bout last week tmr. TIME FOR BED. BUSY TMR. HAHA.

Painted my nails HOT pink for a change! Won't be having dance two weeks from now so i can peacefully paint it! :> XXX.

Sorry for the late update of YunNan trip. If nothing goes wrong i'll be updating bout the trip tmr. :) hehe.

Going ou tlater to fix my ezlink card. Sist lost mine the other day so have to go and fix it. ); Make this a quick and short post ya. I've got only 5 mintues max, 2 mins minimum b4 she gets home!!!!!! Anw, i will be staying over a Popo house w. sist as a promise to Euncie and Shawn! So yaye! Gotta start my homework nowww! WIll be bringing some hw to Popo house to do. Hope i won't be end up playing and using the comp. :P
